ICLW

This is the first time I’ve participated in ICLW.  *waves hello*

As you can see from my last post, I’m getting ready for a myomectomy on July 13.  I have a submucous fibroid that my RE is convinced is the cause of my infertility.  Here’s hoping…but in the meantime I am a little scared.  (If anyone has any stories about how easy and painless their myomectomy recovery was, and how they got pregnant on the very first try afterwards, I would love to hear them.  Even if they’re not true.)

I’m 31 and a nonprofit worker and musician in the Midwest.  I play electroacoustic chamber music (there’s a niche for you!) and enjoy complaining about my boss.

I also like to post recipes but am terrible with a camera, so I haven’t made the leap into delectable food porn.

  1. Delectable food porn ! lol Love it. I have tons of food magazines and they really are porn to me.

I wish you luck on your myomectomy. I haven’t had one but I’m sure everything will be fine !
    Happy ICLW

  2. Nice to meet you! My myomectomy was easy and painless and I got pregnant on my first try afterwards. Okay, that last part is a lie, but otherwise…

  3. Its feels like I am cheating, commenting on your blog via ICLW. I read your blog, umm, all the time.
My hope, my preggo inspiration is:

She is the only one in blog land that had the variety of myomecotmy I had and….she got pregnant on her own the FIRST month out of the gate!!

    Woo-hoo!
Happy to see you surgery is scheduled, it will be here before you know it.

  4. I meant to participate in ICLW this month, but I forgot to post the little banner so I never made the list. Oh well. I guess I can still comment. 🙂

I also am waiting for fibroid surgery. I actually have my first appt with the doc today. I’m super nervous about scheduling the surgery, as we have some other family issues that are complicating matters.

re: your previous post- maxi dresses are very in right now. Most of them are empire waist. Or if you could find something similar that hits about knee length. I got some at old navy, of all places, and find that TJ Maxx is often a good (inexpensive) dress finding shopping trip.

  5. I’ve personally never had a myomectomy, but I know of a couple of friends who have had the procedure and were able later to achieve pregnancy. I hope that the same will be true for you, too!

I’m hoping your myomectomy goes well and you get your bfp soon after!
